I am located in Arizona looking at a car in DFW. Would you be able to complete the inspection without me present. It is best to reach out to the dealership prior or send you guys before I reach out.
Hello, Ken M! Feel free to let the dealer know that you’ll be hiring a mechanic to inspect the car — dealers generally prefer to know who the buyer is. We’ll take care of the rest.

Looking at a car at a used car lot do we need to contact them 1st or do we give you the info and you handle everything?
Hello, Jeff! You can let the dealer know that you are going to hire a mechanic to inspect the car (dealers prefer to know who the buyer is). And we will handle the rest.

For a 2019 Ford Escape with extremely low mileage, do you include battery testing, tire age verification, brake measurements, OBD scan results, photos, and a written estimate of near-term maintenance needs?"
Hello, Adeena! Yes, it’s all included. You can check out our sample report.

Do you bring a lift or a jack of some sort to get under the vehicle to fully inspect all suspension components, or is this available at special request?
Hello, Alex! If the seller has a lift, we can use it. But usually we can inspect a car without it, just by kneeling and looking under it, or using mirrors or cameras.

Do you offer any warranty or guarantee if something fails on the vehicle 3 weeks after it was inspected, but the inspection didn't reveal the problem?
Hello, John! A pre-purchase inspection is not a warranty or guarantee against future repairs. It is a detailed evaluation of the vehicle's current condition at the time of the inspection. During our inspection, we thoroughly check the major systems, identify any existing issues, assess component wear, and give you our professional opinion on the overall state of the vehicle. This helps you make an informed decision before buying. However, no inspection can predict every possible future failure. Some issues — particularly in electrical systems or components that can fail suddenly without prior warning signs — may develop after the inspection. These situations are beyond what any pre-purchase inspection can reasonably cover. Our goal is to give you the clearest possible picture of the car as it is today, so you can buy with confidence.

Reviewing your past inspections really discourages me from buying a used car but that’s all I can afford. Are you able to determine how much it might cost to repair a mechanical issue so I can decide if it’s worth buying and fixing?
Hello, Tobbie! Yes, we can provide estimates, but used cars will always have some issues, and that doesn’t mean you need to fix every single one right away just to bring the car back to ‘like new’ condition. That’s why, when we flag problems in our reports, we sometimes note that the repair isn’t needed right now. We then summarize the main concerns at the top of the report for quick reference.
