Hi, I’ve got a deposit on a 2021 Subaru Outback at Stivers Subaru in Decatur. But the carfax has come back with not an accident but “damage reported”. No one knows exactly what happened, so I’m concerned. Do your inspections cover frame and suspension issues and replaced body parts? Can you perform an inspection at the dealership? Thanks!! Fred Gosman
Hello, Fred Gosman! Yes, that's exactly what we do. We can determine what happened, what was replaced or repaired, and whether it was cosmetic or structural damage. And of course, we can also visit the dealership to inspect the car.

What happens if you go out for an inspection and the car is no longer available, what happens next? Will I be able to use this as an credit to another inspection? Or will it just be money lost?
Hello, Candice! You get a full refund if the car is sold before we can get there.

How might your inspection differ from a dealer's $300 report (besides not having to take it to them)?
Hello, Paul Smith! Usually, dealerships (and repair shops in general) don't inspect cars for previous body damage and don't have dedicated mechanics for pre-purchase inspections. It means that your car will be inspected by someone who normally works on, let's say, suspension, and doesn't know much about engine diagnostics. But our mechanics have versatile experience and can do accurate full-system assessments - we have inspected thousands of cars and we know how they should and shouldn't perform, as well as the potential risks involved.
