Pre-purchase used car inspection

It’s hard to overestimate the importance of a pre-purchase inspection. The risk of buying the wrong car is not just unexpected expensive repairs but compromised safety as well. Non-functional SRS airbag systems, loose bolts in suspension components, rotten frames, and leaking exhaust systems – that’s just a glimpse of what we see every day. To be confident in your next car, order our best-in-class pre-purchase inspection.

Reviews
"After a little research, I decided to find someone to do an inspection before my next used car purchase. There are other companies online that appear to provide a lot, and I was confused as to whether their inflated prices were worth the money. I chose Car Advisors based on pricing and the sample reports available online. After finding a seemingly perfect BMW X5 with low miles, I setup an appointment online. He setup the inspection with the seller and took care of everything. The report was easily made available online after payment was processed. I was amazed. The report was so detailed, and the inspector was thorough. He found things I never would have thought to look for. And he also discovered some pretty major problems and some computer codes that were cleared out that could have been catastrophic. Inspection fee is a great value and saved me from a potential mistake worth $1000s. I highly recommend Car Advisors and already have another inspection setup for my next prospective vehicle!"

"We were given a very comprehensive overview and critique of the car we were going to buy. Our inspector really helped us dodge a bullet, because we ended up not buying the car we were looking at due to unseen issues that he brought up. We’re grateful."

"Exceptionally thorough inspection conducted by Oleg. He went into every nook and cranny of the car and wrote the most comprehensive report that I have ever received. You can trust his work and make a thoughtful decision as to purchasing the car. In my case the inspection revealed many flaws that were not apparent on first examination by a normal car buyer. You must have Oleg inspect any car or truck before purchase. "

"I never buy a used car without a pre-inspection report being done first, and CarAdvisors are my go-to experts. My son found a CRV he wanted for driving from school to his various jobs, and within a day we had scheduled a tech from CarAdvisors to provide us a detailed inspection report to let us know of any issues. As a bonus, we asked whether the seller's price was reasonable, to which we got a confirmation that the value of the car was in-line with the price they were asking. CarAdvisors gave us confidence in our purchase. Highly recommend!"

CJ

FAQ
?
How qualified are your mechanics?
We are a small team of specialists with master’s degrees, a deep knowledge of car electronics, and many years experience in auto inspection. We don’t hire unknown mechanics from all over the country just to expand our presence in other states.
?
What type of vehicles do you inspect?
We inspect all cars and trucks of any age and price. If a vehicle is a hybrid or is electric, we thoroughly inspect the battery and generator with a professional scan tool to make sure that these expensive parts are in working condition.
?
Can you perform a computer diagnostic for an older vehicle with a non-standard diagnostic connector(not OBD2)?
Yes, we have special connectors for a wide variety of older vehicles. So even if it doesn't have a carburetor we can perform a computer diagnostic.
?
What types of payments do you accept?
You may pay with card (debit or credit), from your account, or by cash or check after the inspection if you decide to see it in person.
?
Can I cancel an inspection that has already been ordered and scheduled?
Yes, you can cancel an inspection at any time without charge. However, it's preferred that you provide at least 1 hour before the scheduled inspection time.
?
Do you inspect vehicles on a lift?
It depends on the seller. If the seller has the facility to lift the vehicle (for example, if the seller is an auto dealer with a shop) then our specialist would inspect it on the lift. In most cases however, there is a necessity for a lift only if the test drive revealed issues with the drivetrain or suspension, and to determine the source of the problem and if it's ok to lift the car. Otherwise, inspection without a lift won't compromise the quality of the inspection itself.
